Quarto tempo (10th Anniversary)

"Ten years after the release of 'Quarto Tempo’ - a work that marked a turning point in my artistic career and started my collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - I am happy to announce the double CD celebrating its tenth anniversary,” says Roberto Cacciapaglia. “In the second CD, I perform the tracks originally created for piano and orchestra in a solo piano version.

I often say that the piano is the center of my work. The orchestra and electronic instruments are like constellations, creating orbits and sound waves from the softest whisper to the loudest sound. But the sun - the essential instrument - remains the piano. The piano has always been my voice, a mirror that allows me to return to what is essential. For the first time, I decided to dedicate an entire CD to this instrument.

'Quarto Tempo' is the space beyond the limits of the three times: past, present, and future. It is where the before, the moment, and the after meet and dissolve. It is a deep space, a place where I find an open way of listening to music and to the feelings it brings to life. My relationship with music has been closely tied to my personal growth for many years. It is a teaching that brings me closer to the essence, like a mirror. Through music, I feel part of a vast world without limits. It gives me the chance to share my hopes, and to communicate what I feel and what I believe in."
