“Through sound, emotion looks for new dimensions. It is not an escape from reality, but the image of a new reality,” says Roberto Cacciapaglia. “Music that touches emotion is like a wind that clears and purifies all obstacles and divisions. It is an arrow that strikes and awakens hidden places inside us, places we rarely visit in daily life. It opens unknown landscapes that were left in the dark. Like a ray of light entering a completely dark room, it eliminates the darkness, and nothing can stop the vision anymore.
'Canone degli Spazi' (Canon of Spaces) is a work on sound that expands in all directions. It travels through the dimensions of infinite space, the outer world, inner spaces, the unconscious, and feelings. When I play with deep attention and a clear intention, the emotion that rises inside me echoes exactly the same way in those who listen. It creates a sense of union and connection with others who share the same state. Music becomes the vehicle for a shared, objective feeling.
If, instead, I am not fully present in the sound and my intention is not clear, those same notes sound distracted. They become empty, losing their intensity and power. The clarity of my performance depends entirely on what I can bring to life inside myself. Then, the nature of the melodies expands into space, air, earth, and the whole atmosphere. A true enchantment forms between the performer and the audience, a magical aura of deep harmony and sharing. The wonder of sound comes from ancient times, through myths and mythology, and brings us back to the essence of Music, the Supreme Art.

I composed 'Canone degli Spazi' using essential elements: the harmony of triads, melodic repetitions, and cycles inspired by planetary orbits and the structure of harmonics. These are the same rules that Pythagoras used to explain the laws of the Universe. Sound can help us discover that the space inside us is just as endless as the space outside us. In reality, there is no difference between the two. Sound passes through walls, even the walls of the mind, and goes beyond space and time. Enjoy the listening.”
